Grooverock Agusa's new live album, Katarsis, is remarkable. Agusa have taken two songs and significantly expanded on them to the point that they each take up an LP side. As with most instrumental and psychedelic music, it's about the journey, but never does the song get lost along the path.
The result is that Agusa has actually put together a live album that's as essential as their studio work. Hauntingly beautiful. A definite album of the year candidate.
